The panoramic one: Rigi Scheidegg - Seebodenalp (or vice versa)
Rigi Scheidegg - Unterstetten - Rigi Kaltbad - Känzeli - Seebodenalp
This leisurely hike takes you along the comfortable panoramic path to Rigi Kaltbad and on to Seebodenalp. The magnificent panorama of Lake Lucerne and the Bernese Alps is your constant companion.
From Rigi Scheidegg you hike leisurely along the Panorama Trail to Unterstetten. You hike around the Würzenstock and the view sweeps to the Rigi Kulm summit and over the Mythen. Behind the Würzenstock you have a choice: either follow the impressive rock path to Rigi Kaltbad-First or stay on the equally beautiful Panorama Trail, which is laid out on the route of the former Rigi Scheidegg-Kaltbad railway.
At the Känzeli vantage point, it is worth pausing for a moment to enjoy the gigantic panorama before starting the descent to Seebodenalp. This hike can also be done in the opposite direction, but then it is much more strenuous.
Notes
The current operating status of the railways and hiking trails can be found here. So that future generations can also enjoy the Queen of the Mountains, we ask you to dispose of your waste at the stations or take it home with you. Thank you.
