The round walk starts above the picturesque mountain village of Illgau at St. Karl, considered a "place of power". A small aerial cableway takes winter walkers into the secluded landscape, which fills one with energy. With views of the Schwyz and Muota valleys and the ski slopes of the Stoos resort on the opposite flank of the valley, the route leads via Eseltritt to Ibergeregg. Although we're making good progress, we're slowing down at the same time. The deep silence is followed by lively activity at the family-friendly ski resort of Ibergeregg. After the climb here, the views of the Central Swiss mountains and the panorama are wonderfully energising. On the way back we're immersed in a quieter world in Grossenboden and return peacefully to St. Karl.
